Citec and Wärtsilä’s Energy Solutions are long-term technical documentation partners. For many years, Citec has been handling Wärtsilä’s high demand for modularly written technical documentation, resulting in substantial cost savings for the company.
Because a job well done generates more business, the companies´ close collaboration is getting a follow-up. Wärtsilä Gas Solutions has now outsourced their technical documentation processes to Citec, which strengthens Citec’s technical documentation expertise even further. The outsourcing also includes piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) drafting processes.
“We have both looked at synergy advantages in making the agreement. The technical documentation as well as P&ID drafting are in Citec’s field of know-how, whereas Wärtsilä’s focus is to develop their selected core competences in the long run,” says Antti Kuokkanen, Vice President, Electronics, Entertainment and Processing, Wärtsilä Marine.
